As the Muslim umah prepare to round off the Ramadan, Edo state House of Assembly Speaker Rt Hon Marcus Onobun ksc has held the yearly breaking of fast with Muslim umah in the Edo State House of Assembly.
In a message at the event, a Muslim scholar Alhaji Ahmed Oyakhire in his message explained the importance of Ramadan as a month of blessings for fasting Muslims.
Alhaji Oyakhire eulogised and prayed for the success of the Speaker as he has laid a solid foundation for Staffs at the Assembly.
In his message to the Muslim umah, Rt. Hon Marcus Onobun said the yearly event is one he has come to enjoy as it is a time to meet with Muslim umah working at the Assembly.
Rt. Hon Marcus Onobun said the relationship between him and the Muslim umah will be a permanent one as he has learnt a lot from the Staff.
Highpoint of the event was a special prayer for the success of the Speaker in his endeavors and other legislators, Clerk, as well as Staff of the State House of Assembly by the imam of the State House of Assembly, Alhaji Haruna Farouk .
Present at the event was the clerk of the Assembly, Alhaji Yahaya Audu-Omogbai,the special Adviser on politics and strategy Hon Collins Aigbogun, SSA to the speaker, Collins Idiakhoa amongst others.
