Edo state House of Assembly holds valedictory session in honour of late Hon Ja Bello Osagie.

A valedictory session in honour of late Hon Ja Bello Osagie has been held at the Edo state House of Assembly today.

Leading members at the session, Speaker, Rt Hon Marcus Onobun ksc paid glowing tributes to the late lawmaker, who was also a lawyer, Pharmacist and an accomplished businessman, that excelled in all areas of his endeavors; emphasizing that the valedictory session is the last respect given to lawmakers who pass on.

In his oration, the member representing Ikpoba okha constituency, Rt.Hon Henry Okhuarobo described the late Ja Bello Osagie as a great legislator in his time, who left a trail of accomplished successes in his lifetime.

Rt.Hon Okhuarobo who is the majority leader of the House read the biography of the late lawmaker.

Other legislators who paid tributes at the session include the Deputy Speaker, Rt Hon Roland Asoro, the members representing Esan South East, Hon Osezua Ojezele, Member representing Igueben, Hon Ephraim Aluebhosele, and Esan North East one Rt Hon Francis Okiye described him as an accomplished lawmaker, erudite educationist, and lawyer, stressing that Edo State has lost a rare gem .

Former Lawmakers present including Hon Akhere Ugbesia, Hon Patrick Osayinmwen, and Hon Etinosa Ogbeiwi were not left out as they also paid glowing tributes to the departed.

Summing up deliberations at the valedictory session, Speaker, Rt Hon Marcus Onobun ksc urged the children and grandchildren to be thankful for the privilege to have had Late Hon ja Belo Osagie in their lives, stressing that the departed lawmaker who represented Oredo in his time was the youngest of all the Legislators then.

Rt.Hon Marcus Onobun, while reflecting on the life and times of the Departed, called on all to live a life worthy of emulation, advising that it would be sancrosanct for all to be remembered for good after one’s sojourn on Earth.

Prayers were offered for the children and family of the departed as well as the House of Assembly by Pastor Osagie Ize Iyamu, while the eldest son of the late lawmaker Mr Idris Bello Osagie moved a vote of thanks on behalf of the Family.

High point of the valedictory session was filling past the casket by members, led by the Speaker and other dignitaries at the session.
