~~~Speaker urges committees to speed up work on 2023 Appropriation Bill.
The Edo State House of Assembly on resumption of plenary today cleared the nominees for Chairman and Executive secretary of Edo state primary healthcare agency, Dr Felix Ehidiamen Ogedengbe and Dr Omosigho Izedomwen .
This is sequel to the presentation and consideration of the report of the House Committee on Rules, business and Government House chairman Rt.Hon Henry Okhuarobo who doubles as majority leader of the House.
To consider the report, the house resolved into the committee of the whole, where the committee chairman presented five(5) findings and one(1) point recommendation .
The five point findings include the resumes of both nominees, which the committee examined thoroughly leading to the recommendation which is the that both nominees have requisite qualifications and should be cleared for the positions .
Summing up deliberations the Speaker Rt Hon Marcus Onobun ksc while confirming clearance of both nominees called on the clerk Alhaji Yahaya Audu omogbai to make clean copies of the resolution available for necessary action.
The Speaker also urged committees working on the 2023 appropriation Bill to speed up work to ensure MDAs who are yet defend their budget appropriation do so with the one week break to ensure speedy passage of the bill.
Rt Hon Marcus Onobun appealed for completion of all issues connected to the 2023 appropriation Bill to ensure its ready at the next sitting day.
The house , thereafter adjourned sitting to 19th, December 2022.
