Hon. Marcus Onobun ksc has congratulated the 18 Local government councils Liason officers inaugurated on Wednesday by the state Governor, Mr Godwin Nogheghase Obaseki.
In a message to the Liason officers, Rt.Hon. Marcus Onobun ksc advised them to see themselves as fortunate to be appointed as heads of the councils at this important period where the third tier of Government is at the threshold of another phase of development, where experienced hands are needed to run councils.
Mr Speaker said looking at the profile of the appointees,it is obvious they are round pegs in round holes with the needed grassroots experience to, which will come to bear in their various positions as time goes by.
Rt. Hon. Marcus Onobun ksc urged them to see their appointment as one to add value to the governance in the state in particular and their various local government councils in particular.
He congratulated the Liason officer for Esan West council Hon. Friday Amendame , a former councilor, describing him as a thoroughbred grassroots politician.
He advised him to bring his wealth of experience and knowledge of local government Administration to bear in office as a Liason officer.
