A TIMELY INTERVENTION WORTHY OF COMMENDATION: RT. HON. MARCUS ONOBUN DELIVERS 1 KM ASPHALT ROAD WITH DRAINAGE TO COLLEGE OF MEDICINE, AAU EKPOMA

In a commendable display of responsive and visionary leadership, Rt. Hon. Marcus Onobun has delivered a 1-kilometre asphalt road with accompanying side drainage to the College of Medicine, Ambrose Alli University (AAU), Ekpoma; a project that has brought immense relief to the university community.

For years, the deplorable condition of the access road, especially during the rainy season, posed a serious challenge. Frequent flooding and erosion rendered the road nearly impassable, disrupted academic activities and took a heavy toll on pedestrians and vehicles alike.

Today, that story has changed.

With the completion of this vital road, fitted with a functional drainage system to manage flood water and prevent future deterioration, students and staff alike have described the intervention as a “long-awaited relief” and a “masterstroke.”

Beyond easing movement, the new road has significantly enhanced accessibility, boosted morale, and improved the aesthetic and functionality of the learning environment.

This is more than just infrastructure; it is a project that meets today’s needs while safeguarding tomorrow’s possibilities.

Rt. Hon. Marcus Onobun, the Honourable Member representing Esan Central, Esan West, and Igueben Federal Constituency, has once again demonstrated what compassionate, people-focused leadership can deliver.
