In a commendable display of responsive and visionary leadership, Rt. Hon. Marcus Onobun has delivered a 1-kilometre asphalt road with accompanying side drainage to the College of Medicine, Ambrose Alli University (AAU), Ekpoma; a project that has brought immense relief to the university community.
For years, the deplorable condition of the access road, especially during the rainy season, posed a serious challenge. Frequent flooding and erosion rendered the road nearly impassable, disrupted academic activities and took a heavy toll on pedestrians and vehicles alike.
Today, that story has changed.
With the completion of this vital road, fitted with a functional drainage system to manage flood water and prevent future deterioration, students and staff alike have described the intervention as a “long-awaited relief” and a “masterstroke.”
