CONCERNED EKPOMA EMINENT STAKEHOLDERS FORUM (CEESF) HONOUR HON. MARCUS ONOBUN

The honorable member representing esan West constituency was a guest at the just concluded ONE DAY INTERACTION/AWARD CEREMONY FOR ELECTED / POLITICAL OFFICE APPOINTEES at both State and Federal levels.

In his opening remarks, the coverner of
Of the forum Comr. Obasanmi Jude Ph. D stated the aim of the forum is to serve as an intermediary between the government and the governed in the areas of quality project delivery, adequate representation, mediation and above all to address the various challenges facing the people in a more coordinated manner. He also stressed that the forum will never support criminality or situations where the rights of innocent people are infringed upon.

On his part, Hon. Marcus Onobun gave kudos to the organizers of the forum for a well thought out strategy to bring about synergy between the government and the governed. That every leader should be accountable to the people they represent.

ACHIEVEMENT SO FAR IN OFFICE
The Hon member enumerated some of his achievements Since assumption of office. The house under the leadership of Rt. Hon Frank Okiye has been able to put together 5 bills and 15 Resolutions.

Notable of those bills are:
1. The law to establish Edo State College of Agriculture and Natural resources.
2. A bill for the Law to review the Bendel State audit law of 1982 to provide for the establishment of Edo state Local content and audit service commission
3. A law to provide the establishment of Edo state sports commission.
4. A bill for the law to amend the privatization and commercialization law in Edo State.
In his closing remarks: The honorable member reiterated the plans of the Governor to build a mini stadium in the constituency and plan for a future we can all be proud of. Not minding the immediate gain to the detriment of the future.
He also pledged to be fully part of all CEESF programs.
