The Speaker Edo State House of Assembly Rt Hon Marcus Onobun has on the occasion of the 2022 Armed forces remeberance day in honour of the nation’s fallen heroes called on Government at all levels and well meaning Nigerians to look into the plight of these heroes who fought for the territorial integrity of Nigeria.
The speaker stated this while speaking with journalists during the event held at the cenotaph ,at the museum ground in Benin city.
Rt Hon Marcus Onobun emphasized that the only way to encourage those in service is through the provision of incentives and empowerment to the families left behind.
According to the speaker “For any Democracy to thrive those who fought for the territorial integrity of the nation should be given proper care especially those left behind “
The speaker said beyond the annual commemoration is to have thoughts of the families in mind and create more avenues to ensure that families of the fallen heroes are well taken care of as a way of ensuring sustenable Democracy .
