
The Speaker, Edo State House Of Assembly, Rt.Hon Marcus Onobun today assured that issues of salaries and other challenges bedevilling Ambrose Ali University(AAU) Ekpoma has been resolved.
Rt.Hon.Marcus Onobun disclosed this after a meeting with all the stakeholders in AAU Ekpoma as the move was needed to address the lingering issues in the State owned institution .
The meeting convened at the instance of the Speaker, Edo State House of Assembly was for the Management of the Special Intervention Team of AAU Ekpoma and various stakeholders in the University fashion out ways to ensure amicable resolution of the issues in the tertiary institution .
RT.Hon. Marcus Onobun said the meeting resolved that all bodies will work together to support the Special Intervention Team.
He assured that issues of staggered payment of salaries and other challenges will be addressed.

Edo State commissioner for Education Dr. Joan Oviawe said expectations going forward is that the State owned University is quality driven while Representative of the Special Intervention Team, AAU Ekpoma Com. Austin Osakue appreciated the Speaker for the mediatory role and assured that all agreements reached will be implemented to ensure the smooth running of the institution.
On their part Chairman SSANU AAU, Com. Tom Onofua, Chairman CONUA AAU and a stakeholder Com. Bayo Omoikhoje described the meeting as successful and commended the Speaker and members of the House for the initiative .
The groups are expected to meet with the special intervention team of AAU Ekpoma to dialogue on ways to implement today’s resolutions especially in the areas of salary payment.
