Edo Assembly speaker charges National Orientation Agency on more feedback from the grassroots

Speaker, Edo state House of Assembly, Rt Hon Marcus Onobun ksc has charged staffs of Edo office of the National Orientation Agency to re-double efforts in the area of feedback between Government and the people expecially at the grassroots.

This the Speaker said would pave way for easy and faster access to the much needed democracy dividends to them.

Rt Hon Marcus Onobun said this when he received the state Director of the Agency and management staffs on a courtesy call in his office.

The speaker said a major issue lacking at the grassroots is information; as this is one area the agency can help Government to build the confidence of the people towards the policies and programs .

He said the agency by way of it’s duty is an integral part of government as they aid in building a robust relationship that would be beneficial to government and the governed.

He promised to channel their needs and areas of assistance to the appropriate quarters to give the agency more drive in it’s job.

Earlier, the state Director National Orientation Agency, Mr Austin Odile disclosed that the agency is a feedback and orientation agency with the aim of propagating government policies, programs and giving the needed civic orientation to the populace.

Mr Odile explained that in getting their job done and properly the agency was in need of logistic assistance and partnership from Government in the state.

On hand to receive the visitors were the secretary Edo state House of Assembly commission Mr Osahon Ahunwan, Director speaker’s office, Mr George Aitomun, Director information Mrs Adesuwa Aideyan Special Adviser to the speaker on politics and strategy Mr Collins Aigbogun and the SSA to the speaker Comrade Freeborn Ahanor
