The Speaker Of Edo State House Of Assembly, Hon. Marcus Onobun has been conferred with the prestigious award of professional Doctorate-fellow of the Institute of Political Administration And Management. (DFIPAM).
The induction and presentation ceremony of the Honourable Speaker was held in Benin City on Friday, May 7th,2021, as part of activities marking the Institute’s “Batch B” induction ceremony.





The highly delighted Speaker Hon. Marcus Onobun thanked the Director-General and members of the Institute for the honour done him, to be inducted and awarded the prestigious Doctorate-fellow of the Institute, having noticed his diligence and hard work.
He promised to be a good and worthy ambassador of the Institute and to also abide by the ethics and code of conduct of the professional body, after taking the oath of office.
Hon. Onobun used the opportunity to thank his fellow lawmakers for the unprecedented support he has enjoyed since his emergence as Speaker.
Earlier, The Director-General of the Institute, Dr. Ochoho Ameh Paul, said they were officially in Edo State to celebrate the conferment of Doctorate-fellowship of one of the highly recognized and fastest growing professional body in the country on the amiable and youngest Speaker of the 36 states Houses Of Assembly in Nigeria, Hon. Marcus Onobun.
Dr. Ochoho explained that the choice of Rt.Hon.Marcus Onobun was consequent upon the Institute’s thorough screening, as his profile was very impressive for it’s Highest Membership Category, and also for being a role Model for the youths Constituency.
Highpoint of the occasion was the Decoration of the Speaker, after subscribing to the relevant oath of office.
While moving the vote of thanks the Leader of Edo State House Of Assembly, Hon. Henry Okhuarobo thanked the Director- General and members of the
professional body for finding the Speaker worthy of such Honour.
