An over 300 man campaign council has been innaugurated in Igueben local government area.
The campaign council has been charged to go back to their respective units to form sub units of people to canvass for the success of the New Dawn project of the Speaker Rt. Hon. Marcus Onobun ksc.
During the innauguration , Speaker Edo state House of Assembly Rt.Hon. Marcus Onobun ksc who was elated at the reception accorded him and his entourage, commended party loyalists in the area for keeping faith with the PDP .
Rt. Hon. Marcus Onobun said as the race to the 2023 general elections gathers momentum ,it is important for all irrespective of age and status in the PDP to work together for the success of the People’s Democratic party PDP across board in all positions to ensure a landslide victory for the party.
He explained the changes in the electioneering process In the country to the people , stressing that now more than ever everyone has to be physically present to vote and it will be one man one vote basis .
The Speaker explained the three stages of voting during the elections and harped on the need to win all people in their various units and wards to the PDP for victory of the candidates from presidency,Senate , house of Representatives and the state House of Assembly .
Rt. Hon. Marcus Onobun ksc called on all members of the PDP to shun divisive tendencies and work together for victory against the candidates of all other parties ,who are their opponents.
He assured of More people oriented bills and resolutions as well as projects and human capital development.
Speaking earlier leader of the People’s Democratic party PDP in Igueben local government area ,High Cheif Hilary Ekhoye welcomed the speaker and his entourage to Igueben local government area,disclosing that the party is hundred percent in support of the PDP candidates in all elective positions and is unwavering in the support.
High chief Ekhoye appealed to the speaker to use his good office to help in the re opening of Igueben college of education to ensure speedy resumption of students.
He charged the campaign council to go back to their respective units to canvass for support for the success of all PDP candidates and carry the message of the New Dawn project to all nooks and crannies of Igueben local government area.
The campaign council is made up of 30 people per Ward.
On November 12,2023 a similar inauguration held in Ekpoma and Irrua for Esan West and Esan central local government areas.
They have since hit ground running for the success of the People’s Democratic party PDP in the areas.
