The PDP Women leaders from the 10 wards in Esan west local Government Area have paid a solidarity visit to the speaker Edo State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Marcus Onobun ksc .
Receiving the Women leaders in his country home , Iruekpen Esan west local Government Area,Rt Hon Marcus Onobun ksc expressed delight for the visit, stressing the important roles of women in the political terrain.
Rt Hon Marcus said the visit was an interactive session where discussions were made to pave way for more development for the overall benefit of the people of the constituency.
He said as fearless politicians ,the talk from detractors is not binding as they have continued to complain about unfufilled promises especially the ihumudumu -ujemen -iruekpen project which has now fully commenced .
He emphasized that the women as mother’s have advised him and he was grateful for their support always
The speaker advised the women to avoid being used as political tools of disunity as the general elections approach .
Earlier the PDP Esan west woman leader and leader of the delegation Mrs Evelyn Irior aka OPC One , advised the speaker to carry the women Along in the scheme of things,as women are positive agents in development.
The speaker also received women leaders from ihumudumu ward 5 on a solidarity visit.
On hand to receive the visitors were Chief Mrs Stella Okoro former chairman Esan west council and mother of the speaker, Mr Collins Aigbogun aka Abuja special Adviser to the speaker on strategy and political matters .
