The Member Representing Esan West, Esan Central, and Igueben Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Marcus Onobun KSC, has joined other prominent sons and daughters of Esan West to pay their last respects to Late Chief Tom Irehovbude, who passed away recently.
Rt. Hon. Marcus Onobun KSC attended the funeral service held at the Assemblies of God Church, Ujemen, Esan West. The officiating pastor called on all to serve God in truth and spirit, reminding attendees that life is fleeting and emphasising the importance of steadfastness in serving Christ.
The pastor also extolled the qualities of Chief Tom Irehovbude, describing him as an embodiment of humility and service to all, and noting that he had completed his work on earth and gone to rest in God’s bosom.
The event culminated in the interment of the deceased after prayers for the immediate and extended families. Among the dignitaries in attendance were Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs Barr. Lucky Eseigbe KSC and Majority Leader of the Edo State House of Assembly Hon. Jonathan Ibhamawu, among other notable dignitaries at the well-attended ceremony.
