Iruekpen community comprising of twelve(12) quarters had each quarter represented by two(2) delegates alongside community youth association and the elders council.
Speaking on behalf of Iruekpen youth development initiative president, Comr. Ehizele Odigie represented by Comr. Onemonlease Otaigbe commended the federal legislator for his commitment to rural development, highlighting the importance of the facility to the improvement of socio-economic conditions of the immediate community, the senatorial district and the state. He further pleaded for inclined focus on human capacity development and empowerment of the youth population.
In addendum, the spokesperson for the various quarters represented sought that other infrastructural projects so considered through need-assessment be captured in the successive year’s appropriation.
The still and serene tranquility of the scene became tensed with resounding ovation as Rt. Hon. Marcus stood to respond to the yearnings of his people

He started by appreciating all who had troop to receive him in their numbers for the exercised patience maintained despite the delay. As a descent of the community, soundly rooted in the progression of development reiterated his stewardship and contribution at every given opportunity he was given to serve his people
He made an adequate account of how the construction of the police started, left for him, he would rather had sited a facility that would serve as a regional command center for the community effort and the exigencies of demand for completing the police station in due time. However, he expressed his dissatisfaction over the absence of the police representatives following restraint directed from the headquarters. He pleaded that remission be made by political key players from politics of prejudice which stalls the needed progress desired by the people.

He assured the people of his commitment to continually do his bit resounded verbatim, “when we do some we get to see of what is left to be done”.
Pa. Ofeimu, the Odionwele of Iruekpen Elder’s Council ably represented by Elder Salami Daniel offered prayers of longetivity for the people’s representatives. Praying for divine blessings, guided wisdom and direction in all his activities at the National Assembly.
The police station was commissioned, led by Hon. (Engr) Monday Abulu, former Executive Chairman, Esan West Local Government Area. Also present was Hon. Collins Aigbogun, Esan West Local Government Area Chairman, Hon (chief) Stella Okoro, former Local Government Chairman, Rev. Felix Obhakhan, PDP party chieftain and other dignitaries.
