Staff of Edo State House of Assembly have described the victory of the Speaker, Rt Hon Marcus Onobun ksc at the polls as a God ordained victory.
Staff under the different groups, besieged the speaker’s office to congratulate him.
The forum of Directors of the State House of Assembly led by the director pensions, Mr Kassim Mohammed, Verbatim reporters and the Muslim community led by the Iman, Alhaji Faroq Umar were among the groups that rejoiced with the Speaker.
In their various submissions, the group identified the Speaker as a man of Grace and Destiny who irrespective of the challenges at the polls came out victorious.
The Muslim community prayed for his success at the House of Representatives and wished the Speaker well as he prepares for resumption.
Receiving the groups, Speaker and member-elect Esan West, Esan central and Igueben federal constituency, Rt Hon Marcus Onobun ksc thanked the various groups for identifying with him .
Rt Hon Marcus Onobun ksc explained that it was God and the people who granted him victory at the polls.
Describing the challenges he faced at polls as overwhelming, Rt Hon Marcus Onobun said God made all the mountains of challenges become a plain by granting him victory.
While assuring Staff of the House that for the time he has left at the Assembly, the 7th Assembly is poised to leave a lasting legacy.
Rt Hon Marcus Onobun also intimated Staff that with the alterations Bill passed into law, issues that cropped up during the inauguration of the 7th Assembly will not reoccur.
On hand to receive the groups with the Speaker were the Chief of Staff to the Speaker Collins Aigbogun, Director speakers office Mr George Aitomun, among others.
