Rt. Hon. Marcus Onobun, the Speaker of the Edo State House of Assembly, has appealed to the Esan Central Local Government Area People Democratic Party (PDP) Executives and Leaders to help him to fly the flag of the PDP from the party primaries stage to general elections in 2023.
He promised the people that he will be a vocal voice for Esan West, Esan Central and Igueben Federal Constituency which he will be representing in the green chambers of the National Assembly.
He told the gathering: “I am not a newbie in legislative business. I am a team player. As a result of my people management skills the Edo State House of Assembly today has been united like never before.
“As you know the business of law making is making laws, oversight functions and representing the people. And this we have been carrying out effectively.
“I will always keep my duty as a representative intact and also elevate my relationship with all of you. As there will be continuous intermediary/meetings and exchange of ideas.”
Going further, Hon. Onobun said: “This house of representatives ticket will bring infrastructural and human development to Esan Central, Esan West and Igueben Federal Federal constituency.”
High Chief Cliffsandra(aka Small Chief) prayed for Hon. Onobun’s victory at the polls. He prayed that God should look at the Speakers humility and make him victorious.
Chairman of Esan Central Local Government chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP), Apostle Matthew Ebhotiemen, after praying for the Speaker assured him of the local government’s support for his aspiration stating that they’ll send for him soon.
The declaration Climaxed with a dance initiated by the LGA party Chairman as proof of the Speakers acceptance.
