As part of activities for the official declaration of Rt Hon Marcus Onobun ksc for the House of Representatives seat to represent Esan West, Esan central and Igueben constituency, Hon. Marcus has met with his immediate community, Idumoza quarters of Iruekpen in Esan West local government area to intimate them of his intentions.
Speaking with Elders of Idumoza quarters, Rt Hon Marcus Onobun disclosed that when he wanted to contest in 2019 ,he came home to solicit for their support and prayers; this led him to succeed at the polls .
Rt Hon Marcus Onobun said almost 3yrs after he has a success story with many laudable projects including human capital development with over 200 people getting employed, and other appointments.
He thanked the elders for their support before, during, and currently; including the building of his country home which has brought him closer to the people.
He appealed to the elders to pray for him to succeed in getting the nomination for the House of Representatives seat.
In his response the odionwere of Idumoza quarters and Oniha of Ekpoma Pa Jeremiah Onobun prayed for the success of the Speaker’s aspirations, while the Youth chairman Monday Omole commended the speaker for giving the youths a sense of belonging .
He called on the elders to give the speaker the needed support for the benefit of the Quarters, the community and the state in general .
