Akahia -uhiele community pays thank you visit bearing gifts for donation of Electricity transformer.

Indigenes and elders of Akahia in uhiele ward 9 in Esan West have paid a thank you visit to the speaker , Rt Hon Marcus Onobun at his country home in Iruekpen, for coming to their aid and donating a 300 KVA Electricity transformer to them .

Leader of the delegation ,Rev Dr J O Y Evbomhele said they had appealed to the speaker for the transformer because the one they had before was faulty.

They explained that since the arrival of the transformer, they have been awaiting an opportunity to thank the speaker for the donation.

Rev Ebhomele also like the proverbial Oliver twist appealed to the speaker to use his good office in helping to facilitate the energizing and distribution of power through the transformer for the community.

In his response Rt Hon Marcus Onobun who appreciated his guests, said “by the grace of God you all voted me in to represent you at the house of Assembly, it is my joy to provide amenities which add to well being of constituents”.

Rt Hon Marcus Onobun said in view of the electricity situation in Edo central, the state government is putting plans in place to set up a power base station around Evboakhuala and irrua to feed Esan West and Esan central local government areas.

He also explained that around the same area a housing estate will be built to create a new city to stem the wave of migration.

He also disclosed his joy at the visit stressing that all efforts will be made to energize and distribute Electricity to all in uhiele.

The visit climaxed with the presentation of tubers of yams, a live goat and assorted drinks to the speaker.
