The State Governor, Senator Ifeanyi okowa has been described as a rallying point and a unifying face for the south-south .
Speaker Edo state House of Assembly, Rt Hon Marcus Onobun ksc made this known in a congratulatory message to Senator Ifeanyi okowa on his emergence as the vice presidential running mate to the presidential candidate of the people’s democratic party PDP Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.
Rt Hon Marcus Onobun said the choice of the Senator Ifeanyi okowa is not far fetched given his pedigree for good governance, development and a loyal party man.
According to the speaker “Senator okowa your choice is not a surprise to us as you have shown great capacity and capability in your humble achievements in turning the fortunes of Delta State for better”.
Rt Hon Marcus Onobun said “with you by the side of the presidential standard bearer of our great party PDP, victory is sure as you a beacon of hope for the south south “
The speaker called on all party members to join ranks to ensure the PDP wins the general elections in 2023 and clinches the presidential seat.
He congratulated both Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and Senator Ifeanyi okowa as worthy candidates to take the party to Aso Rock.
