Rt. Hon. Marcus Onobun, the member representing Esan Central/Esan west/Igueben Federal Constituency in the green chambers of the National Assembly, has been described as a pragmatic representative. The remark was made by a member of the Edo PDP State Executive Committee, Amb. Tony Okonigene when he paid a courtesy call on the Honourable member in his office in Abuja on Tuesday.
Amb. Okonigene noted that: ” Rt. Hon. Marcus Onobun, inspite of the challenges he has been facing, has done remarkably well in representing the people of Okpebholo Federal Constituency. From what he reeled out to me today, I have seen that we have a pragmatic representative the youth, the PDP and indeed his constituents will be proud of.
” Especially in the areas of taking steps to get our teeming youth population gainfully employed and attracting meaningful federal projects to his Constituency, I can tell you with all sense of responsibility that the PDP gave the people of Esan Central/Esan west/Igueben Federal Constituency the best”
Earlier, while welcoming Amb. Tony Okonigene to his office, Rt. Hon. Marcus Onobun expressed his sadness over the kidnapping of the Edo State PDP chairman, Dr. Tony Aziegbemi. He prayed that God will intervene in the case so that the chairman can be reunited with both his immediate and political families. He described Amb. Tony Okonigene as an asset to the PDP in Edo State.
Rt. Hon. Marcus Onobun who is a former Speaker of The Edo State House of Assembly, promised to do all within his powers to ensure that the things that are due to his constituents get to them.
