The Speaker Edo State House of Assembly, RT Honorable Marcus Onobun ksc has expressed his heartfelt condolence to the people of Auchi Town the headquarters of Etsako west local Government Area, the Otaru of Auchi Alhaji Aliru Momoh and most especially the Families who lost loved ones as well as those injured in the unfortunate accident that occurred Wesnesday morning Involving a trailer truck and commuters.
Rt Hon Onobun speaking in Benin City reiterated the need for vehicles, especially these articulated ones to be put in proper condition before allowing them to ply the highways .
He called for adequate orientation and training for the drivers to apply caution when manoeuvring with such vehicles; this he said will reduce these incidents to the barest minimum.
RT Hon Onobun empathised with the families who lost loved ones noting that it is always a bitter pill to swallow when a family member dies especially in this case where most of them were going about their legitimate businesses.
The Speaker called for utmost calm in such depressing times and urged the people not to take laws into their hands while praying for the repose of the dead and speedy recovery of those injured.
According to reports,the accident claimed about 5 persons ,while scores were injured.
