Edo Assembly Speaker, Rt.Hon. Marcus Onobun mourn the death of Elder Sunny Uyigue and Hon. Sunday Aguebor.

The Speaker of the Edo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Marcus Onobun has described the demise of Elder Sunny Uyigue and Hon Sunday Aguebor as a huge loss not just to Edo State but to the entire country.

He said late Elder Uyigue was a stabiliser, who has for decades contributed to the peace and progress of the party.

The Speaker said that although, he rarely spoke, he worked silently behind the scenes, promoting peaceful coexistence of our great party People Democratic party(PDP).

Describing Hon. Sunday Aguebor, the Speaker said, “He was a rare gem and will be missed not just by those whose paths had cross his, but our dear country Nigeria. His wealth of wisdom, humility and peaceful nature was a rare virtue”, he said.

“He was a consummate lawmaker and an individual who was quite passionate about the development of the State when he represented the good people of Egor/Ikpoba Okha Federal constituency in the House of Representatives from 1999-2003.”

“It is my prayer that the Almighty God would grant their families the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss. May their gentle and very patriotic souls rest in perfect peace,” he said.
