The Speaker Edo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon Marcus Onobun has described Edo State as a “State in her matured youthful Age”
The Speaker made this assertion at the 2021 Youth Harvest Thanksgiving Mass at the St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Benin City Yesterday.
RT. Hon Marcus Onobun who was the Chairman of the occasion in his charge to the youths encouraged them to wake up to their responsibilities as the right instrument that will propel the State to greater heights.
Speaking on the 30th anniversary of the state, the speaker said that Edo State has entered her matured youthful Age, hence he encouraged the youths to get ready by building capacity across various fields of endeavour to be able to take up leadership positions available for them.
Similarly, the Speaker also charged the youths to never allow their backgrounds to stop them from aspiring for greater heights in any field of endeavour, saying that “time and chance” happens to every man and only those who are ready at the appointed time will reap the reward.
Concluding, Rt. Hon Onobun admonished the youths to be grateful to God and to always give him thanks in whatever situation they find themselves, as he is the author and finisher of our faith.
