Speaker, Edo State House of Assembly, RT Hon Marcus Onobun (ksc) has commiserated with the family of the late Olympian and former sports commissioner in Edo State Mr Brown Ebewele aka jujuman who passed on on Friday December 31st 2021 after a brief illness in Warri, Delta State.
Rt Hon Marcus Onobun while commiserating with the Ebewele family described him as an icon in the world of sports and beyond ,one who has carved a niche for himself as an Olympian and a great sports administrator.
The speaker mourned the death of the late sports administrator who he said still has a lot to achieve and give out especially in the area of sports mentoring of the upcoming generation including the youths.
According to the speaker”the news of the death of this great Icon came as a shock as he is still in his prime with alot to offer in the area of sports mentoring and administration”
“Mr Ebewele who as a seasoned sportsman led the state to victory a situation which he would have been able to replicate over again after going through the mill in sports being an athlete,an administrator and a commissioner”.
He prayed God to grant the family the fortitude to Bear the irreparable loss and also prayed for his friends and associates as well as sports lovers who had the rare opportunity to have worked with the late Icon to be consoled in the memories they shared with him .
