Residents of Otor street in Idumoza quarters in Iruekpen have expressed joy as work on the road project has intensified.
The work on the project at the instance of the speaker Edo State House of Assembly,Rt Hon Marcus Onobun ksc is one of the constituency attracted projects.
Work on the project is ongoing with side drains to convey floodwater from the road whenever it rains.
Residents who spoke said the road is in dire need of construction, but thanked the speaker who came to their aid.
Mr Amos Adodo said work on the road when completed will make living in the area better for them.
Another resident madam Grace omonjiade commended the speaker for commencing work on the road, which she said is a work in progress.
The residents appealed to the contracting firm to ensure the work is done to specification.
Work on the project has commenced as the contracting firm has mobilized to site, commencing work with construction of side drains.
