Speaker of the Edo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Marcus Onobun has described his Delta State counterpart, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori as a man of valour.
He stated this while congratulating Rt. Hon. Oborevwori on the occasion of his fourth year anniversary as speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly.
His message via his Media Aide, Ambassador Ayemere Michael, went thus: “Since four years ago that you emerged as the Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly you have exhibited a rare quality of leadership built on trust, steadfastness and team spirit that can only be imagined.
“The string of achievements of the Delta State House of Assembly under your leadership that has transformed the level of governance in the state can be attributed to the kind of open door policy that you have adopted in handling the affairs of the legislative arm of government.
“That apart, you have also shown uncommon knack for hardwork and dedication while leveraging on the pole position you occupy to contribute your quota to the smooth running of the affairs of government in the acclaimed Big Heart State.
“It is no gainsaying that the peace that is a common factor in the governance of the state is attributable to your sound mind which you have continually fall back on when issues of conflict want to arise between the different arms of government.
“Your emergence as Deputy Chairman Conference of Speakers of State Legislators is a pointer to your deep knowledge of Legislative duties.
“Your constituents have good recommendation to make about your giant strides in ensuring that they never lag behind when the issue bothers on good governance benefits.
“As a man of valour you have not allowed any of the accolades bestowed on you to make you lose your humility or descend to vain gloriousness.
“My prayer for you is that you continue to grow from strength to strength even as the sky can never be your limit.
