Discussed solutions to banditry attack in Benin _ Ekpoma Road and within the constituency. Set for the ground breaking of the building of the new iruekpen Police divisional headquarter
The Speaker EDHA, Rt. Hon Marcus Onobun has donated a Sienna Vehicle to the iruekpen division of the Nigeria Police Force.
The Speaker while handing over the vehicle’s key to the DPO of the division in the presence of the CP and the DCP operation, stated that the vehicle was to aid the easy movement of the divisional operatives as they go about cubbing crimes within their jurisdiction.
Earlier, the Speaker had hosted the CP, Mr. Phillip Ogbadu and the DCP operation at his residence in Iruekpen where possible solutions to the security challenge within the LGA and the frequent banditry attack along Benin_Ekpoma road where discussed.
The Speaker also lead the CP to the site giving by the iruekpen Community to the Nigeria Police Force where the iruekpen division headquarter of the NPF will be built.
The Commissioner of Police while appreciating the Speaker for his kind gesture, call for more collaboration from individuals and coprate bodies especially in the area of intelligent gathering that can help dislodge and clamped down bandits and other criminal elements in the state.
Sequel to the CP’s visit, the Speaker Rt. honorable Marcus Onobun and the member representing Esan West/Igueben federal constituency at the national Assembly, Hon Chief Joe Edionwele had met with the elders and members of the community to conclude plans on the building of the police divisional headquarter at iruekpen.
The Speaker who is set for the ground breaking ceremony of the building, said in collaboration with the relevant stakeholders and patriotic community members, the project will come alive within the space of three months.
