The Speaker of EDHA Rt. Hon. Marcus Onobun pays homage to Esan traditional rulers as the onojie of Ekpoma

The speaker while addressing the traditional rulers, thanked them for the overwhelming support they gave to the governor during the last governorship election that saw the governor clinging to Victory across the entire Esan land.

He also took the opportunity to quickly clarify the traditional rulers on the event that led to the change of leadership at the floor of the house. Stating that there is no conflict amongst the five representatives from esan land as there is perfect harmony.

On the change of leadership, he further explained that it was a unanimous decision of the house to change its leadership in a bid to reposition and strengthen the legislative affairs of the state. He therefore urge the traditional rulers to keep praying and giving their admonition to see that the house under his leadership experience a tremendous success.

In his part the traditional ruler of Ekpoma HRH Anthony Abumere II admonished the speaker and other representatives from esan land to always fight for the interest of the people. As the people will always reflect back to dividends they brought to the people while in office.

Speaking to the press after the meeting an Elder statesman Elder Pius Omofuma said he is happy that the house is not divided after the change of leadership. He therefore urge all representatives from Edo central led by the speaker to ensure speedy development and empowerment is attracted to Esan land.

In his part, the honorable commissioner for wealth creation. Hon Felix Akhabue who was also part of the visiting entourage said he is very pleased with the height the honorable speaker has attained within the short period he has spent in the house. Saying he is very optimistic the speaker will do greatly and engineered an all inclusive government for his people.

Other dignitaries who graced the occasion where Edo state PDP youth leader, all local government chairman in esan land, PDP LGA Chairman Esan west, members of the legislative arm of the Esan west local government council amongst many others.
