The Onogie of Ekpoma His Majesty Zaiki Anthony Abumere II has said the entire Ekpoma kingdom are proud of the Speaker of Edo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon Marcus Onobun’s Composure, humility and Competence as Speaker of Edo State House of Assembly.
The king made these remarks when the Speaker paid him a congratulatory visit at the palace on the Eguare Ihuen festival.
According to the king, the Speaker though very young, has shown a great and remarkable sense of leadership in piloting the affairs of the House.
“I have taken time to follow your activities in the State, your Composure and display of Competence shows you are equal to the task. Your articulate responses to issues that boarders on legislative matters does not reflect you are a first timer in the House. it is on this note I score you high” the king added.
The king also commended the Speaker for the unwavering and cordial relationship between the Legislative and the Executive. Saying that such a robust relationship is needed to make Edo great again.
On an advisory note, the king admonished the Speaker to remain humble and proactive throughout his reign as Speaker as that will lift him to a greater height.
On his part, the Speaker Rt.Hon Marcus said he came to felicitate with the Royal father on the Eguare Ihuen festival. Thanking the king for his continuous prayers and advice. Reassuring that he will always prioritize the desires of the people in his administration.
